I appreciate that even though at times I could not meet the deadlines, I could still extend and I eventually managed to finish. It is easy to follow along and I found that working on it while I am in the lesson helped me to catch-up easily and quickly understand all the functions such that when I would re-do it on my own it was much easier and understandable. The Basics Add-On went further into Basics course material, and the fundamentals I had previously learned allowed me to easily grasp and apply the new techniques presented.
The videos were a great help, especially when i was stuck i knew i can always refer back to them for some light. Matt is a great teacher. He made everything very understandable and enjoyable. I had so much fun learning to code and create things from scratch.

I was looking for a way to expand my skills and knowledge. I enrolled in SheCodes basic online coding workshop and was amazed by how easy and enjoyable the process was. Within a few weeks I had learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and VS Code basics from scratch. The lessons are well-structured, flexible, and fun. I now have the skills to create my own webpage, and I can't recommend SheCodes highly enough.

The lessons are very interesting and insightful. It adds so much value to what I know about web development in the fundamental aspects and also in the optimization. SheCodes really helps me in understanding coding through step by step instructions. The workshops provided can be easily understand for someone who never learn about coding. Moving up to SheCodes Plus was very challenging for me and it does get overwhelming sometimes. But due to the amazing instructions and explanations given, it was also very fun and exciting!
It's easy and at the same time exciting way to start learning Frontend developing. It's like a funny game. That is why you don't feel any difficulties or fatigue)

This workshop was definitely challenging yet so much fun to learn what I did in over a year. I am very thankful to the SheCodes team and Matt. This workshop has polished my coding experience compared to when I started SheCodes Basics. It has prompted me to be willing to learn extensively about the "magic" of coding and develop as a coder. I can say I am more confident since I am currently studying Information Systems at my university. This workshop has provided me such a valuable experience.

SheCodes Basics was a lot of fun and helped to fill in many gaps within my self-acquired knowledge of the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It has also given me a more comprehensive understanding of coding and what it can do. I am very thankful for the thorough explanations, the wonderful way the workshop is broken down into bite-size portions, and the fact that we are challenged and encouraged to interact further with the language beyond the lesson and make our own discoveries along the way. Assuring a student comprehends and has proper command over the language is something that is often overlooked in online workshops, so I very much appreciate Matt's method!

My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding SheCodes Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding 💜 plus I have completed my shecodes plus and responsive it was challenging but yet amazing experience the fact that I now have my first project that operates with real life data it amazes me I’m learning a lot can not wait for my next lessons and project ❤️”

I have been working at a technology company and even though I don't use coding on my day-to-day, I realized how much of a difference understanding the basics can make. I decided to do this course because I attended one of the free workshops and I thought was easy to understand. I always had an interest in technology and I remember sitting in my room all day as a teenager, in front of my computer, coding new looks for my personal blog. This brought me back to those moments and I am very grateful. It's been a fun journey and it made me want to learn more.
One of my favorite workshops yet! I learned how to create an entire responsive webpage embedded with media such as videos, music, social media posts, etc. This was quite enlightening and overall fun!

I had lot's of fun completing weekly challenges and the project. The biggest advantage of this course is that you can postpone a submission date and study with your pace.

SheCodes Plus was super challenging for me, but so rewarding. Juggling my final semester of university and the workshop was overwhelming but i am so glad i finished it! I have learned so much from this workshop and working on the final project was super fun, even when i got stuck and found it difficult, i was able to work on my debugging skills and pay extra attention to details. All in all, amazing workshop. On to the next one!

This workshop was one of the best experiences I have had in the tech world. The delivery of the study material is outstanding! I like how we are introduced to so many dev tricks and tools, how to make your work cleaner and more efficient. SheCodes does not sacrifice fun and enjoyment just to sound overly educational. I'm so excited to have finished the SheCodes Plus workshop! I can't believe how much I've learned. I'm so proud of myself for sticking with it, even when things got tough. I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I'm now confident that I can create my own websites and web applications. JavaScript was definitely the most challenging for me, but I was able to overcome it with the help of the SheCodes resources, especially Athena AI. My final project was a weather application that fetches live data from a weather API. It was a challenging project, but it was also so much fun! I learned so much about weather data and how to display it in a user-friendly way. I would highly recommend the SheCodes workshop to anyone who is interested in learning how to code. It's an amazing opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and to build a community of supportive women.
As a complete beginner, I found the SheCodes introduction course easy to understand. The final project was really fun to do!
I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes Basics course. Initially, I was nervous I would not be able to grasp much of the content, considering I have no experience in coding. However, I surprised myself with how much I was actually able to understand and be able to implement that into the final project. As well as being very informative, it was FUN!
I hade a long break over summer and came back this week and finished the final project, and I immediately got reminded how good the videos are and how fun it is to write code and get to see directly what you are creating.

Coding is great! It seemed like a great idea until you see the actual code behind all these amazing web pages and applications. I honestly didn't think I'd pull through with it, but Matt is a great mentor who makes it seem like a walk in the park. I still can't believe the simplicity and fun behind the SheCodes Basics workshop. It probably gets more complex with advancement, but with my amazing mentor, come hell or difficult code, I'll reach the end goal of becoming a fully trained and certified front-end developer. 🙂
