The workshop is addictive! I was addicted to the videos and the challenges and homeworks. You never feel alone because you have assistance on Slack and if you have any doubts someone will be there to help you. Matt explains in a simply way so you can understand. I felt that I really learn something usefull. I recommend this workshop :)

I am a finance student but for all these years, I was trying to figure out what I really like and enjoy doing. I started looking up things online that how I find about coding, I try many training online and then I find "She-codes" I found Shecodes very helpful, the training was good I get to learn from someone who have a great experience, every week I have a project, challenge or homework to work on. The challenge give me the opportunity to practice and learn things and put in my skills at work and learn at my own . At the end of the program, I was given a final project, where I have express my skills and create a website , it was a great opportunity to put in what I have learn.
Came across a free intro webinar for SheCodes through Instagram and took the leap with the Workshop. The 3-week course flew by. Videos were easy to follow with step-by-step tutorial explanation on how HTML, CSS, and Javascript work together. The homework at the end of the week is super helpful in helping me understand what I learned. SheCodes also provides a Slack community for you to chat with other students who are taking the course with you. In there, you can ask for real-time help and troubleshoot your code with colleagues. Would highly recommend this course to anyone who has no background in coding who is looking to build a solid foundation.
I found SheCodes by accident on Instagram. SheCodes really helped me to understand coding in the most simple way. The lessons, challenges and homework are really easy to follow and execute. I would highly recommend this course. Thank you Matt!
Not having coding experience. I was nervous to venture into the Shecodes course. I was instantly put at ease though. Matt really breaks up basic coding going step by step. Anytime i ever had a question or needed help on the homework I got instant reply's. I've honestly had a blast learning another skill set and cant wait to continue with Shecodes Plus.
I had tried to learn coding from books and youtube videos and it simply didn't work. The videos and challenges make it easy to understand the concepts while testing your knowledge. The homework and final project were exciting as well. The support from instructors and other women in the class made the learning experience that much more encouraging and enjoyable.
I really enjoyed the 3-week SheCodes workshop as I found the demonstration videos informative and easy to understand. Having weekly homework really motivated me and solidified what I had learnt throughout the course.
Lessons are taught so well! You are provided with most of the knowledge needed to complete the assignments but, not all. You are forced to use Google to search for the missing requirements to complete the homework, which really teaches you how to find the info you need, like you will be doing in real life. Really enjoyed the workshop, I will definitely be continuing with more lessons.
Great ,experience allowed me to gain some learning which i can use in my studies.The project is fun and allows for alot creativity.You can go at your own pace as along as you meet deadlines for the homework .
I always wanted to learn coding but thought it's to difficult to learn. Also, I was not sure where to start. SheCodes made it incredibily easy to start and the course is well organised and fun to do. SheCodes was more than I expected. For me, it was a great introduction to how to code because Matt made it simple and very engaging. What I thought was something hard to learn, it was actually very enjoyable and fun to do. I never thought I would be able to understand any code but with SheCodes, it was easy for me to understand. Practical homework and doing it yourself really helps to understand how elements work and how things interact with each other. SheCodes has made me believe that I can venture further into coding without being afraid like I was before.

The Shecodes workshop was a great introduction to web dev. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get their feet wet in it. I am signed up for Shecodes+ and excited to see what else they have to offer. The lessons have challenges after every video. You go at your own pace and at the end of the week there is weekly homework. I great way to practice all the things learned during the week. Deadlines are helpful for anyone looking for a little structure with some flexibility.

This introduction to coding was so fun! I learned a lot in a short space of time and genuinely enjoyed every lesson and project. Having someone checking on your code as you go along via the homework assignments was helpful as it ensures you know you're on the right track 👍 The course is fantastic value for the content that you receive and is beginner friendly as well as offering some challenges if you want to push yourself. Overall a great experience!
SheCodes was easy to follow, and so engaging! Matt not only teaches to you the basics, but he shares with you all the tips to make your code as detailed as possible and readable to other developers. The homework ensures you practice what you've learned after the lessons. Being a mom with a full time job didn't make it easy to start, and I was unable to find a course that I could follow with my agenda. I'm so happy Social Media led me to SheCodes!
The best coding workshop ever! Prior to Shecodes, I never really got to code. I was only familar with some languages through youtube but would forget them easily because I didn't have anything to practice with. But Shecodes changed that! With a weekly homework and many practices, I've had enough practice and felt like I was actually learning. Besides, Matt is a great instructor and his lessons are very engaging. 10/10 I would take this course again!
I had such a great time in the first SheCodes workshop I had to enroll in SheCodes Plus! I really enjoyed building my weather app and learned a lot. The lesson structure was similar to the introductory SheCodes course and was very easy to follow along. I found the challenges and homework very helpful in learning the concepts. This is a great first step in understanding how to code in HTML, CSS and JavaScript using VS Code. While working, I found this model of teaching to be perfect for me as I could fit the lessons and homework around my schedule. There is a range of easy to complicated prompts, which help you build ideas one step at a time. Matt also shows you valuable tricks on how to use the internet to answer your questions as well as offer insights into how current coders work, which strengthened my confidence. You won't regret it.
SheCodes Plus is a great extension to the SheCodes Workshop. I have advanced my skills in HTML, CSS and Javascript. I loved how every week the lessons would build off each other. It is cool to see your homework from each week develop to your final project. This course has given me much more confidence. My coding skills have greatly increased and I am much more knowledgeable. I am looking forward to the next workshop and going out into the real world to put my new found skills to work.
Matt provides easy to follow, step-by-step video lessons on learning code, always paired with written code and other resources to supplement the videos. I found the homework to be an extra challenge beyond the lesson content! Which is exactly what I want out of this course--to be challenged to use the newly learned material independently. Help is always available, of course--I personally found the slack community to be VERY helpful when I got caught on homework. Plus, there are solution videos after every lesson and homework assignment. All in all, I feel like my understanding of code has grown substantially after taking this course. I look forward to continuing Matt's advanced courses! Thank you everyone!

After having been so drawn into the introductory workshop, I simply couldn't resist and decided to go for the Plus workshop! You are constantly challenged with homework tasks alongside the mini challenges which make the entire experience very interactive with lots of room for self-learning and improvement. The video lessons provided are very captivating, easy to follow, with just the right length and depth of information leaving you eager for the next lesson! Thanks to this workshop, I am now more confident than I have ever been in my coding skills and I had fun! I'm amazed that in just two months, I've managed to make my very own functioning weather app! SheCodes is great for anyone looking to transition into a development career or is looking to have a better understanding of how software, applications, and websites are built. I'm a UX/UI Designer and found it particularly beneficial for several reasons... 1. My designs are now easier to translate into code, so I've reframed my relationship with Developers, in turn creating a better and less expensive product for clients 2. I have a strong understanding of the feasibility of technical design requirements 3. Lastly, I feel well versed and comfortable enough with coding to voice my thoughts, ideas, and concerns about the development of their product/service in brainstorming and sales sessions. I have been curious about coding having seen my husband and sister code but I never thought it was for me as it seemed tricky and confusing. I started the course not feeling too confident that I could complete it but after every class and homework my confidence grew and I have enjoyed every part of it! It also made me understand what front-end development is about from this experience and this has been really helpful. If you're not sure this is for you and are worried about how this is taught, you don't need to worry as SheCodes has made it so easy to understand and if you get stuck you can ask questions on Slack so you're not really alone in this. I have really enjoyed Introduction to Coding and am sad that this is over so soon! I'm seriously considering SheCodes Plus!
I've always considered myself to be very tech un-savvy. Computers, software, you name it, made me frustrated and confused. SheCodes has genuinely changed that! The step-by-step approach along with the supportive Slack community, regular exercises, and the homework kept me engaged and eager to learn. Coding is a combination of learning a new language crossed with a scavenger hunt. It was an absolute thrill to create my own little web page after only two weeks of online classes. On the same day I finished the SheCodes Workshop I just knew that my journey was just beggining. I joined the SheCodesPlus and I did take the code to the next step! Along these 8 weeks I saw my progress day by day, feeling even more comfortable with HTLM, CSS and JavaScript after each class, challenge and homework. I am very thankfull to SheCodes for showing me this new world that became my new passion. And I am pretty sure that I am not done yet!

This was a great course - I can't remember the last time I felt so excited about learning something new! It was well organised, which enabled me to work through the weekly lessons and homework at a comfortable pace alongside my full time job. I have a sense of achievement at the end of the three weeks within the level I'm at. I would - and already have - recommended the course to others. I learnt a lot and really enjoyed it!
Overall the help sheets and video explanations are very clear from Matt, learned a new world and found it interesting for sure. However, I do not like the platform Slack. I've had help today but I didn't even notice the answer until hours later, and the answer did not help me find a solution regardless. Slack is definitely not a simple platform to follow, it's confusing and overloaded with unnecessary messages from too many users. I submitted my final project, but I am not happy with a lot of things and even with google I could not find the solutions. I followed Matts advice and instructions but a lot of things were not working, even when writing multiple of times, refreshing pages, and writing them carefully while checking my notes. I didn't have so many problems with my last homework submission so I don't understand why this one was so hard to complete.
SheCodes was a great introduction to coding. The lessons were engaging and easy to follow, but I still felt like a learnt a lot while doing them. The exercises, homework, and project kept me accountable and were a great way to prove to myself that the material was sinking in. I loved it!
I was curious to find out how an online class with flexible learning hours would actually make me learn coding properly. The learning material is easy to understand and the Slack community a great place to ask for support. The homework and project deadlines help a lot to keep myself accountable. Very interactive class. I have taken other online classes, but this by far taught me the best. Each challenge and homework really solidified the topics taught in each lesson. The lesson, although short, did a great job of breaking concepts down into teachable modules. Highly recommend!
Although I had zero experience with coding and do not work in an area related to coding, design or programming, SheCodes workshop was super helpful to this "initiation". I have throughly enjoyed the 3 week introductory course! :) I came into SheCodes not knowing a single thing about coding and in a short amount of time I have learnt so much. I am now looking forward to continuing on with SheCodes React! I am really pleased with the structure and learning style of SheCodes, Matt is a great teacher and provides clear videos that make learning enjoyable. We always have the opportunity to put what we have learnt into practice by completing mini exercises and homework submissions. The communication is really clear throughout the course, if you ever get stuck we can raise questions on a shared Slack group where students can help each other out but there is a also a hands on team ready to help too!
SheCodes Plus was a great next step for learning how to code in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The weekly challenges and homework were not easy but were broken down into digestible pieces, and I was able to successfully complete the workshop during weekends and after work. If more guidance is ever needed, additional help is always available over Slack. I do not have a math or programming background, yet I was able to grasp the concepts and after completing the weather app project, I feel more confident in my understanding and ability to read and create code to build useful applications. I can't believe after three weeks I made a website from scratch! 🙀 The classes were broken down into bite-size pieces that gave you just the right amount of information to digest and were supplemented with a challenge problem to practice and solidify the knowledge. Every lessons builds on topics learned previously so you feel very prepared to tackle the homework at the end of each week. The final project was a culmination of everything learned previously. Great class to take if you want to learn the basics of coding without ever being bored.

Even as a complete newbie to coding (I can confirm!) it is easy to follow the lessons and fun to complete the challenges and homeworks. At first I was a bit skeptical as to whether I would enjoy the course as I've attempted to code in the past but it never stuck. Believe me, it's worth it! This class definitely exceeded my expectations in the best possible way. I started this class in lockdown and then suddenly got pushed back into work and had to find a new balance. I'm not gonna lie, the work is a lot especially if you're a noob like me..but if you have the time, you do your research and your homework you can get it done. I work full-time, care for an essential worker, and still find the time to put the work in. Simply put, if you want something done you will make it happen. Period. Matt does a greater job in covering material in the weekly work-course and taking notes never hurt nobody! Shout-outs to Lexi in customer service and Capitan tutor Joao Lopez for their patience and assistance throughout this journey. I will be unable to finish the series but that is only because I have classes at GVSU in the fall, otherwise, I would take this class all the way. Thank you SheCodes!

This was a great class for beginners like myself! The videos were easy to follow and the challenges, homeworks, and project really allowed me to be hands on and implement what I learned. It was great to have the ability to go back and reference the videos if I got stuck. I did find that the course took more than 15 hours as stated in the course description (at least for myself - a beginner who was taking lots of notes along the way, viewing videos more than once if I got stuck, etc.). This workshop taught me the very basic fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and has set me off to further explore the world of coding and learn more skills! Also, I can't say enough good things about the SheCodes team and the Slack channel that comes along with this workshop - the team was always super quick to respond to any questions I had about the course and the Slack channel provided great support!
I've always wanted to learn more about coding and in the past few weeks, I've been able to learn and practice a lot of information. The weekly workshops are informative and well-thought-out and the challenges make you exercise what you've learned. The weekly homework grew off of each other each week to make the final project more manageable. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who's been curious about coding!
I would highly recommend a course with SheCodes. I have always been interested in coding and I thought SheCodes Workshop would be a good introduction--I was not disappointed. The workshop is a mix of short videos explaining key concepts and a challenge for each concept. There are then larger "challenges" in the form of weekly homework and projects. The length of the videos makes them very easy to get through, and the challenges ensure that you have fully grasped a concept before introducing a new one. I would definitely consider another SheCodes course in future!
I was asked to participate in the 3 Week SheCodes Workshop as a ladies group, enrichment activity. Although I had taken coding in secondary school, I knew this workshop would require more effort and focus than I typically possess. Thankfully, instructor Matt has a pleasant voice and clear delivery. The video lessons can be played and replayed at whatever speed suits your attention span. Weeks 1 and 2 each took a few full days for me to complete, leaving 2 weeks to space the final project. This is a self-paced workshop, but be aware of deadlines. I found the lessons were best absorbed and challenges easier to complete, when I reproduced the instructional exercises along with the videos. The challenges, homework, and final project do require additional self-research and a bit of trial and error. This is where supplied resources like SheCodes Slack workspace and MDN web docs come in handy. I would recommend this workshop only to the person who has the time, budget, interest and motivation to build foundational coding skills.

This SheCodes Workshop is great for beginners, in the sense that it teaches the necessary bases for web development. It's really enganging seeing that we have challenges and homeworks, but it can also be slow-paced if you're really into it. Regardless, it's a really well structed intro to coding!

I've never thought about learning how to code until I found myself in a quest to change careers and then saw a SheCodes add on Instagram. By curiosity, I decided to participate in the free coding class to see if I would enjoy it. And for my surprise I did. I really liked the didact of the workshop, combining theory with homework for every new learning. Strongly recommend.
The class course was great! I learned a lot in these last three weeks. I did have some issues getting help with one of my homework assignments. I never had a solid answer on the things I needed to change, since I felt there was a lot that needed to be fixed. The feedback I got after submission was items one by one, so I'm still in the process of trying to complete the homework. Other than that, fantastic course, and I can't wait to begin the additional weeks!
I sincerely thank Matt Delac and the SheCodes staff for the start on my coding journey. SheCodes was instrumental in helping to further develop my coding skills. I gained a lot of knowledge in 3 weeks. I loved how the course was taught and that you could go at your own pace. The videos were easy to follow and to comprehend. The homework and the projects made you think critically and analytically. I have a BA in History. Learning HTML, CSS and Java has given me an important new skill that I was able to use in conjunction with my passion for history. I was able to use my new coding skills on the final project along with a historical topic which I love. The workshop was great at communicating. Slack is a great tool to use for asking questions. I always felt welcomed and comfortable asking questions or giving feedback on my projects. I found SheCodes to be the perfect online community for learn coding. I am glad that I made the decision to take the course and look forward to continuing with more advanced classes.

I've tried to teach myself front-end development in the past, but it was so difficult for me to solidify what I learned. After taking the SheCodes Introduction course, I now have a very good basic understanding and knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. As a new mom, it's really difficult to find time for myself, so it was really great that I can watch the videos and complete the challenges and homework on my own time. I highly recommend SheCodes because the format is really intuitive and helpful. I'm super excited to continue coding and learn more!
I LOVED the SheCodes 3-week workshop! I'd been wanting to learn coding for a while, but hadn't wanted to commit to a course since I had no previous experience related to coding. I attended the SheCodes Express seminar and was super intrigued and signed up shortly after! I really enjoyed the workshop: the videos are super clear and easy to follow and Matt is a great instructor for people of all skill sets. Plus: the whole community (instructors and fellow coders) were all eager, generous and happy to help if I got stuck on a challenge or homework, and communication was made super easy via Slack. This workshop was difficult at times, but definitely a rewarding challenge. I can't wait to keep learning more and more about coding. Thanks so much, SheCodes! 🦄

SheCodes workshop was an amazing experience I would highly recommend! The easy to follow course videos, challenges and homework assignments on HTML, CSS and JavaScript are the perfect preparation for the final project at the end. In my opinion the best part of the workshop, as you get the opportunity to be creative, while combining all the skills you learned and get this revised by the SheCodes team. Excited to improve my skills and create even more amazing projects!
I did the 3 weeks workshop and I wanted to learn, practice and to know more about coding. This learning experience has been better than I ever expected. It really challenged me. With online workshops sometimes is hard to stay motivated, but the challenges, the homeworks, the SheCodes team and the Slack chat makes it easy. The SheCodes team provides all the support that we need during the all workshop and Matt is a great instructor. I loved it and look forward to the next workshop.

This workshop was all I needed! I tried to learn to code before, but I gave up as I couldn't see how to properly use HTML and CSS together. With Matt's lessons, everything became clearer. I really enjoyed the challenges, the homeworks and making my own project. This workshop definitely motivated me to learn more!
I've used several free online platforms to learn to code, and as helpful as those are, these courses helped me stay accountable, while also teaching me up to date practices, and handy tips and tricks. It was also good to have homework and projects that I can use later for reference and learning.
I was looking for a career change, and have always been interested in learning code and web development. I started last year, but found the typical boot camps didn't push me enough. With SheCodes I was able to stay on track with the homework due dates and learn more than I ever had. Matt made it easy and explained everything thoroughly. I'm more motivated and excited than ever!
For someone who is an absolute beginner, such as myself, a great way to start a new challenge! The way the workshop is conducted, it's so easy to follow. Each lesson is followed by a task to create or solve, and there's great support from the SheCodes team. Especially with the homework and the project, I couldn't let my laptop go, I'm hooked!
I really enjoy the SheCodes and when I started the course I never thought I'd understand coding but Matt is a good teacher. The course was well-structured and organized. I have learnt a lot and I look forward to continue with SheCodes React and improving my technical skills and knowledge. I really enjoyed the weekly homework since they kept me on my toes and made me to also be more keen to improve my coding knowledge.
Helpful introduction to JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. The assignments and homework can be slightly time consuming, but definitely worth it.
I feel that I've learned a lot in these past three weeks. The lesson content it's easy to understand, it's really good that you can practice with exercises and homework at every step that you make. I can now understand how the base of Html, CSS and JavaScript works and thanks do that I felt confident to challenge myself and create the final project in which I was able to learn, understand and code something new besides everything that I've learned during the past three weeks. I definitely feel motivated to expand my knowledge now. I recommend SheCodes!
I absolutely loved this SheCodes workshop! Throughout the 3 weeks, I felt that I was part of an active community between the other students and the SheCodes team, all willing to help each other in this fascinating journey of coding :) I really liked the lessons where Matt explained everything in a simple, yet meaningful way with even tips of what developers are doing currently. Also, I am a 100% hands-on person when it comes to learning, so having a challenge for each lesson plus the homework each week helped me a lot to fully understand the basics of HTML, CSS and JS :) Lastly, I love emojis :p I highly recommend SheCodes, and I am looking forward to signing up for more advance workshops in the near future!
Before this workshop I had zero knowledge about coding. Each lesson is well explained and easy to understand, every challenge and homework helps to solidify the knowledge! Everything that I learned made coding more interesting and allows me to play with my creativity. Great experience, so happy that I decided to try it!
I am a QA and Tester. I have been curious about coding always but never had the motivation to do so, until I cam across SheCodes on my Instagram feeds. I must say I have enjoyed the 3 weeks workshops, challenges and homework. The final project was a great way to bring all the learning into practice and I am feeling more confident now in terms of coding and understanding code.

This was the first step I dare to take into learning how to code CSS, HTML and JavaScript. SheCodes gives you the right tools to start this career path with informative videos, challenges and homework you have to submit during your workshop. I highly recommend this program for young entrepreneur women who have never programmed and are ready to learn how to code!!
As a beginner into coding, I benefitted greatly from Matt's step-by-step teaching through his videos. The lessons are bite-sized so I was never overwhelmed by information in a single seating. The challenges after each lessons are a great help in refreshing my memories and a big help in putting the lessons into actual practice. The moderator(s) on Slack were also super efficient in answering all sorts of questions I encountered during my learning journey. I love how feedback were given after each homework submission so I know what I did wrong in the process.
