This course helped me to understand HTML and I am now confident with basic documents. By doing the coding exercises and submitting the homeworks, you actively use the things you learned and in the end you are proud of yourself of what you can achieve in just 3 weeks on the side. I hope to go on with this and start a proper project soon! This is fun!
Throughout the bootcamp, each lesson was thoughtfully structured to cover advanced concepts in web development. The hands-on approach, with challenges at the end of every lesson, pushed me to apply what I had learned immediately. One aspect that truly stood out was the commitment to practical learning. The homework assignments at the end of each week were challenging yet rewarding. They allowed me to solidify my understanding of the material and provided an opportunity to showcase my newly acquired skills The pinnacle of the bootcamp was the Weather App project. This comprehensive project brought together all the skills I had acquired during the course. From designing a user-friendly interface with HTML and CSS to implementing dynamic functionality using JavaScript and integrating weather data through APIs, the project was a testament to the comprehensive nature of the curriculum.
I really enjoyed SheCodes Basic course. I had the pleasure of creating a web page from scratch. Coming from the non-technical field area is not a joke. SheCodes is an amazing program to get introduced to the basics of front-end development and experiment with coding. Matt, is an excellent teacher and has created an informative platform for women coders. SheCodes have a great team too. Slack channel was very helpful in solving the doubts. I loved doing the homework at the end of each week lessons. One of the best coding classes I have ever come across.
SheCodes has been such an awesome way to learn coding at a pace that works well for me. I originally started a bootcamp with a University, and the pace in which classes moved along was crazy - I couldn't keep up! SheCodes allows me to take my classes whenever and wherever it works best for me (within homework due dates, of course). I would recommend shecodes to anyone looking to learn something new!

This course has been an incredible insight into the basics to HTML, CSS and Javascript coding. The challenges and weekly homework have been great at solidifying our knowledge and leading an independent learning style.
This one was quite challenging with very dense information. I think it could've been spread out more into different themes/focuses with more gradual homework tasks towards the final project. Also The errors and experiments with the live coding were confusing. I would've much preferred a redo version. I also think the documentation is not always compatible with the material featured in the learning videos.

The lessons were amazing, they were very clear on how everything works and what is expected of you. The assignments were perfectly paired with what was learnt and the weekly homework was a great summary of all the assignments.
I absolutely love SheCodes. I started off not knowing a thing about coding, to feeling confident that I can not only explain how I built my first weather application, but also being proud of the work I've done. The network of women that support one another, with around the clock homework assistance if needed is awesome, and helped build my confidence.
I've really enjoyed learning how to code (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) with SheCodes. It is probably the best online coding lesson out there (and I have tried plenty!). The topics are well organised and the explanation very easy to follow. I love the homework we get at the end of each lesson, which allows me to test my understanding. Another positive about SheCodes is the community, which is a fantastic way for everyone to share their knowledge, get help from the experts and an opportunity for you to help others; again allowing you to hone your knowledge.
I signed up for the Coding Workshop Pro and after completing the first 3 weeks of this program, I only have positive things to say! I love that it's self-paced and the videos and instructions are very clear and broken into logical pieces. I already had some experience coding from when I was still in school, but it was never really explained in a way that actually made it easy to understand or fun. Matt did a great job explaining everything, and it was very rewarding to see myself make such progress in a short amount of time. The weekly homework really helped when testing things out for yourself.
The lessons were well structured and were divided into convenient parts. It was also good that there was something in each homework that we had not learned yet, so that we could practice searching/finding on the Internet. I'm looking forward to the next course.
Challenging! It was a tougher module, but I was able to look at others' examples, so it helped. I would suggest taking a lot more time for the homework since it will help with the final project.
I have really enjoyed the 3 weeks course. I started knowing nothing about coding; it looked very daunting and overwhelming however now I can't wait to start the next level and learn more! It's great that we got to learn how to make a real weather app from scratch, learning things like flex box, google fonts and API integration, web hosting using Netlify etc. All lessons and homework are very helpful as usual!
I cannot recommend the SheCodes Responsive Workshop enough! 😍 As someone with minimal coding experience, I was initially intimidated by the idea of learning responsive web design. However, SheCodes made the entire learning process incredibly accessible, engaging, and most importantly, fun! 😆 Matt was super knowledgeable, relatable and patient throughout the teaching lessons. What I loved most was how hands-on the learning was—we did challenges, homework, and eventually a real-life project which helped me understand everything better and literally, the highlight of each workshop. I had the opportunity to learn coding in high school but refused because I thought it was complicated. This course was fun to go through and learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and Java. I like that the deadlines for homework help keep you accountable so you don't end up slacking off.
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this course. I was slightly apprehensive when I started, and worried the instructions would be confusing/unclear. However, I found the structure of the course to be straightforward to follow, and all of the challenges/homework had very clear guidelines of what was expected.
For having so much information thrown your way, these workshops really cover everything simply and in detail, making it easier to learn and complete the homework and projects. I loved creating a portfolio to practice the latest lessons and display my projects all in one place.

She codes has been such a wonderful starting place for me! I hadn't ever done anything with coding prior to starting this program and I was a little bit nervous I wouldn't understand. However, between the easy to understand lessons, the interactive homework and the help from individuals in slack I had nothing to be nervous about.
This has been the best workshop. It was fun working on the challenges and homeworks, the videos were well explained. Not forgetting the slack community which came through whenever i got stuck. I learned so much in this workshop in such a short time. I couldn't have done that in any other course. The structure of the lessons is so understandable and that makes it a lot of fun to work on the challenges and homework. This workshop was the deal for me. I am working a full-time job and for quite some time now I wanted to see if coding was for me. I took the Basic course not knowing what to expect and in 2 weeks' time decided that web development was what I wanted to do. I applied for the SheCodes Max while still taking the basic course. I can't recommend it enough, it is a perfect method for learning (lesson + homework + solution) and it keeps you accountable to show up every day, even for a bit, but it makes a difference. Plus the community is amazing! Both tutors and other students are really friendly and help you out with technical questions and more. Would suggest it 100%
I had two major problems with this course. First, they don't teach you how to display the current weather and forecast in both Celsius and Fahrenheit (they only teach you how to do it for the current weather). Second, I had a full stack software engineer who also mentors software engineers review the code and he said it was really bad code. That we were taught really bad practices. Considering my only exposure to coding has been SheCodes and I followed along with Matt, I believe this reflects badly on the curriculum. I have done the entire SheCodes program, from the basics to the max workshops. They have a team that reviews the homework assignments and give you either a thumbs up or a thumbs down if it was done correctly. I have only ever received a thumbs up. I am really disappointed. The whole purpose of me joining SheCodes was to prepare myself for a career change. Now, I have to start over from scratch trying to learn clean coding practices.
It was my first time with coding and the workshop was really easy to understand and to follow and you can learn at your own pace, which was something that I really enjoyed. I also enjoyed very much the challenges after each lesson and the homeworks. Seeing how my code turns out is very satisfying and it gave me a lot of pleasure to do the final project.

Wow, I cannot believe I have completed the full Max curriculum! I have learnt so much since starting and can now create webpages and webapps with different coding languages and tools. I had zero knowledge of coding and thought that you needed to be good at maths. I quickly found out that you don't. SheCodes Basics is very easy to understand and fun way to get into coding. I was very much looking forward to my SheCodes Max experience in hopes of transitioning into a new career as a front-end developer in the future. I had a positive experience in the basics course ( although I did wonder if they would actually give detailed support and feedback on your progress going forward) as this didn't appear to be present in spite of the website and course outlines claiming that feedback, support and homework reviews are a part of the courses. It seems they use the basics course to lure people into paying for the larger courses without then delivering on quality and support or content and then hit you with their discreet "NO REFUND" policy if you question their lack of delivery on their service promises. The course was shockingly poor with absolutely zero support available. The course encourages you to copy and paste code into your solutions, for homework and projects and the team do not care if you understand the material. I struggled through 9 weeks all the while asking for support and explanations and all I got in response was invalidating and patronising responses from the so-called customer success team. I put in 35 hours plus per week to try and understand the content, doing my own research online and buying books. I knew I could not successfully achieve my outcomes with this course platform to become a front-end developer without any support or tutors to help me. The videos were outdated from 2015 which also made learning the content even more confusing. They have x2 technicians who are supposed to answer questions on Slack of 100's of students, responses coming hours and days later with simple responses asking you to copy and paste code with no explanations to help you understand. I asked for a refund as I paid £1084 for SheCodes Max and had not learned anything in 9 weeks. I was hit with the company's hidden "NO REFUND POLICY" Be careful! I did manage to get them to return some of the money but still wasted almost £500 on 9 weeks of hard work, struggling alone to gain nothing at the end of it but back and forth invalidating communication from the team. I will not recommend this course or company to people who seriously want to learn coding.
This program has been great and I love that I have homework on actual due dates - a lot of online courses let you work as you go with zero due dates and I these dues dates have been keeping me in CHECK! I am here for the whole she-bang and doing every single workshop and add-on projects and Imma take a stab at the CHALLENGE PROJECTS!

She Codes is a great opportunity for every woman that wants to understand more about coding and/or the world around it, whether she comes with existing knowledge or starts from scratch.it is very easy to understand and homework after certain lessons really build up your confidence to next level. I am excited to build a final project whole all by myself.
I really enjoyed every part of the SheCodes basics learning from how our Instructor Matt taught everything to doing the homework and the project on my own. The fact that I can be writing my code and being able to see the outcome as it is made me want to learn more coding and that's why I'm really grateful to be in this workshop. I gained a lot of skills and knowledge and I can't wait to continue with the other workshops and explore the world of coding!
I have learn so much these past few weeks, it's been so exciting working on homeworks and challenges. Thanks to Matt and SheCodes for giving me this opportunity to have access to such a wonderful course.
SheCodes made learning a fun experience. It has an great way to make you want to learn. The homework was my favorite part as I get to try what I saw and if I got stuck I could get help on the slacks community which is welcoming and helpful but mostly encouraging.
I enjoyed every minute of the SheCodes Basics workshop! I love Matt's teaching style. I learned while having fun and even laughing sometimes. I loved that there are challenges after most of the teaching videos. This is the best teaching style for me. You implement what you learn. I also like that it is self-paced although there is a deadline for submitting the weekly homeworks and the final project. This is good for me too because I need to be able to learn on my own time but I also need that little push to stay on track. Can't wait to start with the SheCodes Plus workshop!
I am truely happy that I came across SheCodes a couple of weeks ago. I have always been somewhat curious about coding, but never had the guts to participate in any sort of education around it, since I feared the feeling of embarassment if I wouldn't get the hang of it right away. SheCodes for me has the perfect balance of providing deadlines yet also enables participant to work on the lessons/challenges/homework whenever best suitable for them (/us). I had to postpone one of my homework deadlines and was really happy how easy that was, too. Zero stress added to the already stressful daily life at work and other things going on - life pretty much. Now that I have completed my first course I am determined to book another one soon. I really enjoyed the little highs whenever my code worked and am now also confident enough, that I am capable of learning more about it. All thanks to Matt and his team. Thank you so much to all of you - really!
Great workshop for anyone with no prior experience and wondering if front-end might be good for them. Loved the deadlines with the homework cause it push you to practice and being in a real-life reality style of work.
Matt Delac, SheCodes director, you have made my dream come true. At first, i didn't have confidence in myself i can do it without any IT background. However, look where i am right now. I am so grateful and may the Almighty continue to bless you so that you can bless others. All those reminders i am receiving for my homework and projects is playing a very important role.
