I enjoyed the course a lot. The course doesn't require any previous programming experience and is suitable for absolute beginners who would like to try programming but don't know where to start. In the beginning, I just wanted to support the team for giving Ukrainian women an opportunity to learn web development during these harsh times. And in the end, I actually had a lot of fun doing all the homework, watching the videos, and learning. I have already recommended this course to a friend of mine.
I was quite hesitant before signing up because I didn't think I would be able to learn how to code. But the lessons are very well designed: the videos are short which makes it accessible, the exercises are fun but difficult enough to make it challenging and there is constant interaction with the SheCodes team 👩💻 in case you have questions. Also, since English is not my native language, I was afraid that learning to code would be a double challenge for me. But Matt speaks slowly and is super clear, plus there are tools like Close Caption to help those who have English as their second or third language. I highly recommend it; this course proves that we can all code 💪🏽💪🏽.
It is tough but worth it. I like that I have learned this new skill and hope to use it as a career in the future.
Coding is a completely new topic for me, but thanks to your courses I became interested in it and learned many interesting things. It was also very interesting to watch videos and do different tasks.
It's very fun to learn with SheCodes, I loved every minute! The lessons are short and contain small chunks of info that are easy to digest. It's also great that there are plenty of practice and feedback. I finally started getting a grip of all this web developing stuff and now I feel more confident, especially with javascript.

The SheCodes Responsive workshop was fantastic. I had always wanted to learn how to build a responsive site, and the lessons broke down the process so well. For a long time I've been passionate to work with software development, but because I hadn't studied a related major in college and being almost 30yo, for times I thought it was too late to get to such career. But when we have passion and determination, we can make anything happen. I started working as a QA, performing manual tests for a software. But manually testing at some point was no longer a challenge for me, so I wanted to dive into developing automation scripts with JS. I found sheCodes basics and I instantly fell in love with Matt's didactics, teaching code in a simple, fun and clear way! That really helped me to get a head start, with a testing tool that uses JS as framework. Further on, I decided to do shecodes Plus + React to keep learning and growing as QA and perhaps become a FE developer. It's been over 3 years working as a Quality Assurance Engineer for automation, and I can say I love my job! It's never too late to pursue your passions.
It was fun to learn how to make a website looking good on mobile devices which is a crucial skill nowadays.
I learned so much from this course! I like how I was able to self pace myself throughout the week and complete assignments and videos whenever I had time.
SheCodes courses are set at a great pace! You're always learning, feeling challenged but not overwhelmed. I am so happy I took this course, it will open the door to more opportunities and I can't wait to learn even more. I have really enjoyed the Basics course. I had watched some videos previously, but I wanted some more practical experience and to see whether coding was the right direction for me. This was a great way to gain some knowledge, experience and confidence in coding; before thinking about committing to a more advanced course requiring more investment (of time and money!). The exercises are really helpful and a great way to put the knowledge you have learned into practice. I would recommend the course to anyone wondering whether coding is something for them - give it a try!
This workshop was really breathtaking. All information was helpful and I learned a lot of cool things about HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap, which allowed me to make my own Portfolio Site. I'm happy, and very grateful to SheCodes and Matt personally.

Amazing course! I have never expected from myself to be involved into coding process so intensely. Was I scared? Yes, sure. Although it was tough at times, I managed to go through all the lessons step by step, watching videos several times until I caught the meaning. My final project was the best part which combined all the skills I had to learn and apply. Feel gratitude to SheCodes Team for support and guidance! I would like to continue with pleasure, feel like it`s the beginning of my new life!
Learning coding at my own pace with a structured path was amazing and very informative. The lectures were informative, the challenges helped me concrete my knowledge. Finally the weekly assignments and the final project kept me on my toes and did not let me procrastinate. The whole course was amazing and I am so excited to learn more with SheCodes.

I started out knowing NOTHING about coding and am finishing up with a really decent grasp. The course was so easy to follow and Matt does an amazing job at explaining everything clearly. I've enjoyed it so much and am motivated to keep learning.
I would recommend this workshop for women, who have never been involved in coding. However, if you already know some basics, this one would be easy for you, but still useful, if you learnt other coding languages, just to see how things work, because they are pretty similar.

Although I started to learn coding with other course, the Basic SheCodes workshop helped me to structure my knowledge and provide me with the basics I needed. It was a great experience!

This workshop was definitely challenging and it required a lot more that 5 hours a week some weeks but in saying that I made it! And I am so excited with what I have learnt and achieved in such a short period. Going from having zero knowledge from a development stand point to being able to create a fully functional weather app with an API linked in is very exciting. The knowledge that I have gained through Matt and the team is already being applied in my job as a health application specialist and it has elevated my testing and ability to trouble shoot.
SheCodes has been an amazing program to go through. SheCodes Plus has been awesome to learn from. I have learned so much on how to make Javascript function and how to make HTML/CSS work for me as well.

The lessons are bite-sized and not too overwhelming. I definitely learned a lot! I took the basics course and it was a great refresher/ beginners course! I would definitely recommend this to everyone looking into coding!
I'm positively surprised by how much I learned in such a short amount of time. The challenges are indeed challenging, but the project was extra fun. I like that Matt does not simply read a script but is passionate about his endeavor. He continuously shows me how to help myself. After the course, I will know where to look and find more information. The course is partially exhausting, but every minute invested is 100% worth it. Two thumbs up! I highly recommend it.

Learning React was hard but so interesting! I ran in to some problems but always was able to figure it out with some help. I'm really happy with the results and I'm quite proud of what I've accomplished. Highly recommend doing this workshop since it really added to the knowledge of how everything works.

Creating React Weather App and Dictionary were challenging, but it was fun learning and coding! When I had some questions, I got a quick response from SheCodes team and they were very supportive!
Staying teachable is important no matter what phase of your career you are in - or even in your personal life. Everything in our lives has now moved to a digital platform and understanding how apps really work and the work that goes into design and function of a webpage or app has made me appreciate my online life, my devices and everything in between that involves an internet connection. Hopefully I can continue to build on what I have learned so far and pursue a career in tech!
I am so excited to continue my journey with SheCodes! I never thought I would be a coder but SheCodes makes coding so accessible and easy to understand that I am actually having fun while I learn! SheCodes Plus is a great course that has allowed me to learn so much in a short space of time. Just 3 months ago I couldn't tell you the difference between HTML, CSS or Javascript, or what they were all for and now I can use them all. The course is carefully constructed to allow you to learn and develop all the relevant skills in these areas, in an easily digestible format that can be applied to your project work and built on for future projects.
I still have so much to learn and it has been challenging, however, thanks to amazing support from the teaching staff and other coders who have assisted me when I was stuck, I managed to keep going! Looking forward to learning more!!!

I really liked the base unit. The material is presented in an accessible way, from simple to difficult, there are many examples. I enjoyed the lessons and I want to continue learning frontend in SheCodes.

SheCodes was such an incredible insight into what I am capable of learning in such a short amount of time. Such a bitter-sweet moment right now, this is my 4th and last workshop with SheCodes, and what can I say, I'm beyond thankful to Matt and the team for creating this incredible platform to teach women how to code and break into the tech industry. Just 6 months ago I didn't know what HTML was and now I can code using React. I highly recommend SheCodes, a challenging but fun way to learn how to code.
it was great! I never thought that making a website responsive could be this challenging and fun. during this workshop, we learned how to create multi-page websites and there was a chance to show ourselves and our abilities, not just a task to learn but an actual worthy portfolio project. now I'm able to set up a domain and have my own website. fun, free, professional (special thanks to SheCodes and matt).
I never thought in my life I could do any coding whatsoever but Matt and the team made it so easy and fun! I really enjoyed the Basics class and found the step-by-step process very helpful since I am brand new to coding. It took me longer than the suggested time I think partially because I kept a detailed notebook and really wanted to try to figure out the solutions on my own to learn as much as possible through problem-solving. A week ago, I knew nothing about coding. Today I completed my first project and I couldn't be more proud of myself as a student and Matt as a teacher. He is passionate about what he does, and he shares this spark with others. I never tried coding, because I was told programming is for those who are good at math, which I am absolutely not. But war in my country taught me not to leave plans and wishes for tomorrow. And here I am, learning and enjoying every moment of it. Lessons are very clear, and the SheCodes support team is always there for you. Can't wait for next step!
SheCodes Responsive was an amazing, yet challenging workshop. It took quite some work and effort to create the homepage and make it fully responsive, but now I've done it and I am really proud of myself for sticking to learning web development.
