SheCodes workshop has been amazing start to finish. I can't believe that I have learned so much in so little time. This is definitely a great investment. It helped me stay focused, to push myself and to expand my knowledge. I went from knowing NOTHING about coding to feeling comfortable to make my first landing page. I see myself going far with this career, and plan to expand my knowledge by taking the next work shop that contains react. This was so much fun and I enjoyed every bit of it. I love this work shop.
SheCodes was an amazing and fun experience to me. It opened my eyes (and brain) to something completely opposite of what I normally do and helped me demystify coding as well as to develop new skills. I really loved the way the workshop was structured: the small portions of new content, the regular challenges and the weekly homework that made me see and prove to myself, how fast I had learned. It took me a while to come around to an online class, but this workshop has completely changed my view. The lessons are brief with bite-sized concepts that are easy to comprehend and apply. A huge part of the course is using one's ability to troubleshoot and research aspects of coding which is more dependent on the student. This makes it a more hands-on learning experience, and helps students learn to fix their own mistakes, no matter how insignificant the erroneous piece of code may be. Overall, this workshop has provided a lovely environment and community for women who want to code, and I am grateful to be a part of it!
I came in just wanting to be able to intelligently speak to my clients about HTML, CSS and Javascript when they are using our product, but came away with a love for design. Who would have thought coding could be this fun. The course makes it easy to follow and pick up. I never felt daunted by homework, but like I was doing a fun brain-teaser with each course. I have taken other coding classes and didn't help it stick quite like SheCodes.
I really enjoy learning coding in SheCodes. Matt is the best mentor.He teaches coding in very fun and easy way. I didn't like coding before, but after the first day I started learning in sheCodes, I fell in love with coding

I always felt so curious about shecodes.io and I was even thinking of taking the full Frontend course, even already working as a frontend developer, just to get involved in this experience. I looked around for beginners workshops and I'm so glad I picked SheCodes. Tasks are challenging but easy to follow and I love that I could learn at my own pace with deadlines set - love the freedom. Extra bonus is the support system that you get and international community just a Slack away.
I've learned a lot about CSS and Javascript in the Plus course and loved building out a real web application. If you want to learn more about coding, definitely consider SheCodes and see what you are capable of!

I loved this. The course is constructed in a way that guides you step by step in building your own functional app and that is really cool. Sometimes I wished the topics were covered in more depth, though.
I have been interested in learning how to code for a while but could never find the time or the right site to learn. I came across SheCodes and loved the learning style with it all being broken up and structured into small challenges and then the Homework. You can work at your own pace and have an enormous amount of support on the slack channel where everyone is friendly and willing to help you out if you are stuck anywhere. I look forward to continue learning how to code.
I loved this course so much Matt is a great teacher. It's loads of fun, Definitely a challenge but you never feel like you cannot do it thanks to the amount of support you get from all students who are in the same boat and mostly João! He is amazing! I would recommend this course to any and everyone, even if you never end up using the skill you will have heaps of fun!

I joined SheCodes to make a career change from being a teacher. After searching through many coding programs, SheCodes was the one that offered flexibility and a great learning community. Coding first caught my interest a few years ago when I realised it was all about languages. Having studied Philology myself at university I became quite fascinated but at the same time saw it as something completely outside my understanding. I thought one needed to be a Software Engineer to even start to understand coding. Also, with no women references around me it was even more alien to me. Then, whilst scrolling around I stumbled across SheCodes and had a little peak at their website. It suddenly appeared something a bit less alien and so I decided to watch Matt's webinar and here I am... It is so much more creative than I had imagined. So far I am in love with coding and I am eager to continue learning! I can't wait for new challenges. Bring it on!

I have been in a support role in software companies for awhile but I have been so intimidated by learning code! I signed up for a SheCodes course and I absolutely love it! I work full time and I am a mom so time is a scarce commodity but I have found this course so enjoyable it is easy to make time. I can't believe how much I have enjoyed working through the lessons and homework. I would recommend this curriculum to anyone!

Lovely workshop, I am a complete beginner and I definetly learned a lot, I do however feel that a bit more could be added to the final week.
I've been in IT for over 22 years now, on the technical support side. I then moved into software development release cycle and project management. It always interested me, what goes into fixing bugs and how I could make software better or write myself. I found this course through a friends recommendation on the free course. I loved it! I then went on to do the workshop. As soon as my project for the workshop has been given the green light, I will sign up for the SheCodes Plus and the React course. It is such an easy course to follow, the interaction and deadlines really make all the difference. Thank you SheCodes!
I loved the way this workshop was structured, you have access to the resources any time of the day and you can always rewatch a lesson or go back to a previous assignment which is great because this allows you to practice more. As someone with no background in coding, I found the workshop really interesting and it is cool to see how your coding transforms into something visual.

I loved this workshop. It was just the right amount of time commitment so that you could learn and challenge yourself! I have been exploring coding but find most of the resources expensive, timely, or hard to learn. SheCodes really did a good job covering the topics in an easy to understand way as well as providing a support platform for questions.
Loved the final project, really challenged my knowledge of HTML, CSS & JS we had learnt so far, and I'm proud of my little weather app :) Better still I've been able to apply my learnings to personal projects.

I have really loved my SheCodes experience and have found the course extremely useful and a lot of fun! I have really appreciated being able to learn in my own time, at my own pace but with a target deadline at the end of every week. The flexibility has worked perfectly for me since I work full-time and the set deadlines have kept me motivated. The lessons are a good length and explained well. The practical challenges, homework and final assignments which follow these offer enough of a challenge to feel like you are learning something but not too difficult that you feel overwhelmed. The SheCodes platform has been very friendly and approachable to use and I have looked forward to every lesson and every challenge. It's very satisfying when you get it right! Many thanks to Matt whose videos have been very clear and easy to follow. He's a great teacher who explains things well and makes the whole experience fun. I'm looking forward to starting the Plus course now!
I started this course as a complete novice and can't believe how much I have learned in such a short period. The structure of the course and weekly deadlines kept me motivated and accountable to my learning. I have fallen in love with coding and can't wait to continue.
I'm absolutely amazed at this course!! I can't believe that I learned basic coding and I'm really proud of myself for learning a new skill set. It was easy to keep up and understand the lessons. I could always rewind back and review whenever I wanted. I love how Matt provided walkthroughs on the solution. My family and friends are really impressed with what I was able to create in 3wks of doing this course. When I showed my 8yr old what I created he was really blown away. He's taking a coding course as well, and I think this just gave him the motivation, that you're able to accomplish anything if you put in time and dedication to it. I'll definitely look into taking an upgraded course for sure!

After losing my job due to Covid, I decided that I needed a job that could give me stability but keep my interest. After talking with a friend, I realized that Coding was the way to go. I tried to teach myself, but it was a no-go. That was when I stumbled across a YouTube ad about SheCodes. I really liked the message they were trying to spread. So I decided to give them a try. I loved this workshop and can't wait to do the others!
This has been my first actual contact with the coding world. Having a completely opposite professional background, I have always been intrigued by coding. After starting to look for some information, and because of the recent situation we are all living I thought that it was definitely worth to try. I had such a fun time learning SheCodes Plus! Although a lot of the material was difficult and sometimes frustrating, it was so worth it and satisfying in the end. I loved building my weather app and it was amazing to see my final product actually work. I am so excited to continue learning and to be able to use these skills in the future!

So when I was a kid, I was learning a bit of css. I always liked it, so I always really wanted to learn proper coding! And I'm so happy I found this page! I liked Matt's instructions and the challenges associated with each lesson. His tone, the tips, the support from the team are really on point. I like the fact that all the way through we have to come up with solutions on our own. My only constructive comment would be that sometimes the lessons did not necessarily guide us in the right direction, which can lead to wasting time looking for the right thing to do or searching for the necessary information. Overall, I loved the presentation of the content and the energy of the team and I 100% recommend signing up!
I absolutely loved this course. I used to find coding tedious, but now I love it and I was surprised by how easy it was to create content using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. I will definitely be using the skills I have learned in the future!
I've loved the SheCodes workshop! The lessons were neatly broken down with corresponding challenges that gave us space to practice what we just learned. I appreciate how organized everything is, and that we use real developer tools to write our own code. Knowing that fellow students and educators are available via Slack was a great comfort when I found myself facing errors in my code. Much of the time I was able to find a solution via a quick Google search, but a few times I went to Slack and saw that other students were experiencing similar issues. It added a sense of community learning despite being all online. My experience with SheCodes thus far has been very positive and I am excited to start the next set of workshops.

This was a great way to start my journey in front-end development. I've been interested in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but have found it difficult to learn with most online courses. I was pleasantly surprised by the teaching style, which is different from other courses I've tried. Not only was I taught how to write in these languages, but I was actively encouraged to find answers to my own questions and given the tools to do so. I would love to continue into the SheCodes Plus React workshop. My interest and curiosity has been captured! Thank you, SheCodes! 👩💻
This is a great workshop. Diving in deeper to all the areas I learned in the previous workshop and learning more. Again I love the step by step videos and challenges after and how we built the weather app slowly over the weeks. 😊
I loved the course, taught me so much in a very brief time.
The whole course of SheCodes Plus is a great starting point for all the coding beginners and maybe also for young specialists. I truly enjoyed it all the way, even though struggled at times. "For" loops, unit conversion, and 3h-forecast were my Everest 🏔. Nevertheless, I've made it to the very top and now getting ready for the new adventures with React 😱🥳 As for the SheCodes further development, I would love to work on more of such training projects, maybe on some different topics, with further functionalities. To my mind, this would help a lot to collect a pretty portfolio of projects for the students, as well as would serve as a powerful exercise to sort of automate all the gained knowledge :)
