As a gradueted fashion designer I looked for something else to learn. Coding always had my interested but I never took the action to learn. I came across shecodes and took the opportunity. I just finished my second course and designed my own weather app! I learned so much and really enjoyed my time coding. Next step: Shecodes React❤️
Learning React with SheCodes was a great time. The lessons were short, focused around a specific topic and easy to follow. Thanks to that, there's no way to feel overwhelmed or bored. The challenges were stimulating and fun to do. It was so satisfying to observe my app evolving with the skills gained throughout the course. I feel like my code is now looking much neater than in vanilla project. Starting my coding adventure, I was pretty scared that all of this will be too hard for me to understand. I'm glad that I overcame this feeling and realised that it isn't necessary to have a tech background to complete SheCodes workshop triad. I highly recommend it to everyone interested in frontend.

Learning how to build a weather app in React has been an exciting, challenging, and rewarding experience! I loved being able to implement new features in my React weather app that I wasn't able to in my first vanilla JavaScript app. I especially found the Slack chat group to be extremely helpful whenever I got stuck. SheCodes has definitely inspired me to further pursue a career in software development!
Waaw I can't believe this journey got to an end. I spent 3 amazing months learning how to code, from the induction learning CSS and HTML to JavaScript and React. It has been a great opportunity to be able to immerse myself in programming and I would definitely recommend these workshops to anyone who is interested in coding. I cannot explain how happy I am for being able to learn with Matt Delac and the SheCodes team, it was so inspiring that I applied to continue my studies in a Dev bootcamp, starting in April. I am thrilled about the new world I have just discovered!
Matt's videos are clear and the Slack channel is helpful when I get stuck. I was SO amazed at what we were able to do with the weather API. I now see such a cool range of possibilities for Javascript and I can't wait to go on to React!
SO MANY FEELINGS: so happy because it was a super fun journey through all these courses, but sad because it is over :) :( . This one was a real challenge, but as always Matt was able to explain and demonstrate everything perfectly. I am very happy that I had discovered SheCodes in this last summer, and I cannot be more thankfull to Matt and the whole team for having created and maintained this academy. Never in my life I would though to become passionate about frontend development. In my few years of experience, I always loved the backend component, and hated the frontend. Never understood CSS or HTML, and was scare to engage in the React thing. But after this experience I learned A LOT and actually have decided to try to change my career to be more frontend"ish" . I truly and deeply advise every women who wants to improve their frontend technicall skills to enjoy this amazing journey. Be safe!

SheCodes Workshops has been quite a ride... The react workshop is the final lap of a road and undoubtedly the most challenging and rewarding one. It is unbelievable how much can be learned during 5 months with the adequate direction, and guidance from tutors who absolutely love their work and share not only their knowledge but passion about it. I loved all the SheCodes Workshops, from the first basic one to React. Over a period of just a few months I went from knowing nothing about coding to creating my own App and had a lot of fun doing it! I've learnt so much from SheCodes Plus; I was a complete beginner before I did the SheCodes Workshop and I'm very proud of what I can now do. The Plus course has been challenging and was more intensive than the Workshop but it is broken up into manageable sections and you can do the lessons whenever you want so you can fit it around your routine. I'm looking forward to learning more in the React course!
Thanks to Matt and his great team I learnt not only how to code using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, but also how to combine all that knowledge and mix it while creating a Weather App in React. Lots of important and helpful hints that I am going to remember forever. Just one word: amazing!
React is a huge challenge but once you get the results it's so worth it! This course allows you to discover a new whole world but I wouldn't consider it enough to work as a Front End Developer. I would definitely recommend this course because coding is the language of the future and one day it will be as important to learn as the basic alphabet! SheCodes React was another challenging, yet brilliant workshop by Matt and the team. It went at a great pace and once again thanks to the help of Joao and Daniella on Slack!
I have to admit that React was pretty hard work to understand and get used to, nonetheless it was very interesting to learn about it. This course is a good foundation to understand how front-end with react works, it needs quite a bit of practice but just as everything, if you enjoy coding, practice makes perfect.
It has been a long and intense journey to the end of this Workshop. It is challenging and frustrating at times, but once you understand how things work, there's no stopping you! I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in learning React.
Selling SaaS products for the past 3 years made me curious about knowing all about how are these products actually being developed. I have never had any experience in coding and neither am I the best with computers, but these courses have brought me so much confidence that this too I can learn! Matt has a great way of explaining everything very well and Joao has been a great help when I was stuck. Instead of using this only in my work as a Sales Manager, I am hooked and will keep on learning and developing and hopefully find a job as a React Developer in the future.

It was a lot of fun building the weather application with live data, a very good way to learn how javascript works. I'm excited to continue learning React to become a better coder! Would definitely recommend the plus course if you want to dig in with javascript!
I can recommend this workshop to everyone who wants to get new knowledge about coding and really want to get some deeper insights. It's great that you can go a long in your own pace (also faster if you want to). And if you have some issues or problems with your code the SheCodes team will always help you to go on. SheCodes Plus is challenging and so rewarding. It digs deeper into more complex JavaScript functions, which is great experience. Matt also walks you through DevOps and how to use GitHub (commit, commit, commit!) and Netlify - all of which I believe are important to know if you want to familiarise yourself with web developer work flows. I enjoyed this course and am going on to do SheCodes React.
Just like the first online workshop, SheCodes Plus was very well taught! Again, Matt breaks everything down into bitesize pieces, and is very encouraging. I now feel much more comfortable trying to work on my own projects, with a better context of how everything connects together. I am excited for SheCodes React!

I'm really pleased I decided to take the Plus course. I feel more confident using HTML, CSS and JavaScript and am really happy that I can now work professionally with Git and GitHub. This was suuch a fun workshop. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone and everyone and will continue to push it upon my friends and family members:) (all of whom I make funny websites for). I have learned so much. This workshop opened up a whole new world to me alert(“HelloWorld”); lol. No, but really, I enrolled in a CS course at my university and am now learning Python! SheCodes taught me a lot about the fundamental pillars of code such as CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. I have been struggling to learn code on my own, but with this workshop it made complete sense! The videos were easy to follow, homework assignments were challenging, and the final project gave us creative freedom. I'll definitely be registering for SheCodes React later this year. 👾 If you're hesitant or debating between SheCodes and another workshop, I highly recommend SheCodes! It was more like a game where you had to "beat each level" before advancing. I'm a visual learner and the way Matt explained everything was perfect. This workshop definitely was a challenging yet a fun experience. I was able to test my ability to be patient with the trial and errors of my codes. This was the most rewarding experience, to have completed the workshop. I will be continuing to the Plus React workshop as I would like to advance my coding experiences with SheCodes.

I enjoyed every second of this workshop. Even with the challenges I have encounter, I did not wanted to stop coding. It felt like an addiction. No matter how hard the topic might be, Matt makes it super comprehensible and you end up building and coding stuff that you never thought would. Gotta give it to Matt and his team for helping me through the entire process with issues/questions I may have had. It was a super and exciting ride. I am still not done since I have to continue with the react workshop now and cannot wait!

In 2020 after 7 years of designing and managing IT projects, I have decided to learn software development, I wanted to know how to use all modern technologies, tools and frameworks. My experience in coding was limited to basic university program of c# and java. Thanks to SheCodes lessons (Plus and React) I have received updated and practical knowledge in order to build and maintain by myself web apps using HTML-CSS-JS or React.js framework. As a consequence I can now manage development teams even better than before or directly take a role of Front End dev in a project. Matt Delac is a great tutor, I appreciate a lot his mission! Now I am a certified Front End developer.
I stumbled upon SheCodes ad while watching some tutorial trying to understand how to start programming. I usually skip ads but this time was different. What a ride this was! The whole workshop is amazing and everything is well step-by-step explained. You will learn the basics but it is enough to built your own page with some cool functionalities. And if you struggle with being patient this is the way how to work on it as well. Trust me! I enjoyed every bit of the workshop and recommend it to anyone wanting to start coding or just try if this is the right path. I am gonna definitely continue with Plus React. Thank you!
I'm not really a fan of weather apps after spending months doing one application. It was really difficult to motivate myself to keep going. The React course should have been another example. I don't exactly know how to make anything other than the weather app and a basic website. But I do feel I got a base enough to go to other classes and not be as confused. I would have liked to learn what is possible with other APIs.
I have really enjoyed my learning experience with SheCodes. I loved the React course. The lessons are very well instructed and easy to understand. It is great that you have the opportunity to come back to your educational material whenever you need. I hope to continue my journey and use what I have learned to start working as a front end developer. Thank you guys (@Matt, @Joao, @Lexi) for making this workshop such a nice experience! This is one of the most useful courses I have found online in terms of learning with real software and technology. As React is more advanced than the other modules, this is tough but rewarding

My SheCodes adventure has been a fun & delightful one. Like all good things, It has now come to an end, but i will hopefully keep in touch with the team & fellow students through Slack. I would say one who has started the coding journey shouldn't leave it without learning React. It is only then that I came to realize how powerful this skill is. This also means that a long way of ups and downs is laying in front of you, waiting to challenge you. However, there is a promising future at the end of the road.

This course was quite challenging but at the same time very effective and interesting. During the lessons, you learn many things and details about React, it's components, different approaches for a solution. I'm happy I've coped with it!
At first, I was quite worried if I´d be able to go into such a big challenge, especially since I had no previous knowledge of coding, but I can say I´ve not only learned a new skill, but I feel even more prepared to go into the next challenge called React ❤🌟 during these hard times I fully believe I could change career paths and feel confident enough.

It was a struggle to actually find time to complete this workshop. Not because the workshop was difficult but because real life was mad! Lovely Daniela was always handy to give me extensions on the deadlines 😊 I loved to learn a bit more about coding, although, I must confess, it was a little frustrating to achieve a few things (like retrieving the correct time for the app 🤯 ). On the other hand, when I managed to get hold of how things worked, I did a little victory dance 😅 I would strongly recommend this workshop to everyone wanting to learn coding, even if you don't have any coding background (I'm the perfect example for that!) Pretty impressed with the skills learned with the help of Matt and SheCodes. The lessons are fun and very well structured, the challenges are a great way to apply what you've just learned during the video lessons and the final project is so gratifying, since you get to build something from scratch and make it work. The React course was a great overview to learn about this JavaScript library. I understand now the logics and feel ready to jump in a more advanced challenge, adding more languages to my toolbox and levelling up everything I learned these past months with SheCodes! Matt has a very practical way to teach things, and the support on the Slack channel has always been on top!
I used to think that coding was only for super-intelligent math wizes. Well, guess what?! Wrong! Step by step Matt showed that everybody can learn coding. An IQ of 150 or above is not required ;) I will definitely continue with SheCodes Plus React and ensure myself a future career in programming.
When I started the coding journey I just wanted to see if it was just a little of curiosity or if it was something else. In the end I really found a passion! I loved that the program is mostly learn as you go, and you can count on people here to find some help when you are stuck. There was so many things that amazed me and really show me that coding is so powerful (like Mac said so many times in this course... and he was totally correct). Huge Thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team for making this possible. It was just wonderful to see my idea of a project became a finalized project. Looking forward to the React one!!

The final course in the series, SheCodes React, was definitely challenging but also fun to complete. Matt's instruction makes learning React easy to understand, and encourages problem solving as the videos won't address every issue in the real world application of the code. A few months ago, I didn't think someone like me with no understanding of the programming languages would know them, let alone learn how to code and play with codes! Super good experience, I thought coding was witchcraft but it is actually fun. Wish I had more time to put into it because it is very challenging. I will sing up for SheCodesReact for sure.
The first SheCodes workshop was nice, but with SheCodes Plus the real fun only begins! Working on your own project throughout the workshop motivates you immensely, even with the more tricky topics. During the process, my project got a bit messy. I was really greatful that there was a repeat week at the end of the workshop where Matt showed the whole workflow again from start to finish. This way you can rebuild your project cleanly if necessary. And you can be sure that you are not alone but always get help! In short, it was challenging and fun at the same time and I can't wait to get going with React :)
React is such a beast but I am so grateful that SheCodes has helped me establish such a strong foundation for learning this framework. I went into the SheCodes Workshop with minimal knowledge in HTML and CSS that I gained through my own trial and error. I was surprised at how much more there was to learn in this workshop, and how enjoyable it was - at times it was hard for me to stop working. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of SheCodes Plus and aim to continue my education in coding with SheCodes React!

I have enjoyed coding with SheCodes, it is and experience that I will never forget. Obviously, I am now getting involving with the next code they have available "React". No regrets and really recommend it to anyone wanting to start a career in coding.
WOW! This has been quite the journey! It wasn't easy, but definitely worth it. I am so happy I upgraded from the Workshops and I can't wait to start on React too. Huge Thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team for making this possible. What I love about this program the most is that you learn as you go and it's hands-on work with all the little challenges. It's definitely a good investment, especially if you want a career in the coding world.
I cannot recommend SheCodes enough! I had been on the fence for over a year about whether or not I wanted to give coding a try, but with every other program I either could not work it into my budget, or it simply didn't feel like the right fit. Then SheCodes falls into my lap! Matt is a wonderful teacher, and I had so much fun with this particular format of learning and community, and it finally gave me back some confidence as I committed to challenging myself and learning this new skill set. I consider myself primarily right-brained, with no major natural inclination towards the technical and analytical, and this felt really stimulating and satisfying for me. If you are a creative, do not let coding scare you off! There's room for absolutely anyone who's curious enough to try it. I can't wait to jump into either SheCodes Plus or SheCodes Plus React asap! I absolutely loved this course! I highly recommend it: the lessons are short, each content is given step by step. At the end of each lesson we have the challenges, that allow us to verify in practice what we have learned in theory. Matt explains each content clearly, in an easy way to understand. I never lost my enthusiasm, instead I became more and more motivated to learn, and the proof of that is that I will be attending SheCodes PlusReact!
