I had a great time applying everything we learned in the first React course to build this dictionary app. It's been a fun challenge, and seeing the app come together with clear and well-structured code feels so rewarding.
This was a really great course, challenging at parts, but well structured and easy to follow. If, like me, you sometimes have a hard time focussing and retaining information, the SheCodes courses are perfect for you. You can learn at your own pace, in your own way.
My journey with SheCodes has been an amazing experience. The beginning was exciting, as everything was new and fun to explore. As I progressed, things became more challenging, but never too difficult to handle. The best part was the incredible support from the SheCodes community. Absolutely loved building this world clock, being able to build practical and useful apps not only provides a boost of confidence but also shows you you can build anything you see out there, you just have to learn those specific features/ languages etc...

SheCodes challenged me for the better, I continuously had to go over the content multiple of times, and has taught me to see it as a continuous course and not a once-off one. It has taught me to treat coding as math, to practice as much as possible to remember and harness your coding skills. I am very much grateful for this learning opportunity as it has taught me how to be practical and approach many things with an open mind too.
I love SheCodes is really easy to follow the lessons and really learn how coding works. Sometimes it gets complex but Matt makes it easy to follow.

Over the past three weeks, I deepened my understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, building on my prior experience in web development. Initially, I revisited HTML to refine my content structuring skills, then delved into CSS to enhance my styling techniques, mastering responsive design with flexbox and grid layout. JavaScript posed the greatest challenge, but I enjoyed learning DOM manipulation, event handling, and dynamic content creation. This journey culminated in a project that I am incredibly proud of a functional, responsive web application showcasing my ability to integrate these technologies effectively. I had the opportunity to deepen my coding skills and work on a hands-on project. I created a World Clock using Moment.js, which allowed me to apply what I learned in a practical and engaging way. With the help of Matt, the learning process was much easier and more enjoyable.

At first, I didn’t think I’d enjoy coding with React as much as vanilla, but as the course went on, I found myself loving it even more. Now, whenever I think about building a new website, I automatically imagine it in a React format. The deeper knowledge I gained in this course has completely shifted the way I approach web development. The final project, where I built a fully functioning dictionary app using multiple APIs, really pushed me to apply everything I’d learned. It felt amazing to bring it all together. This course has made me even more confident in React, and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to take their skills to the next level!
