I really enjoyed this workshop; it was challenging and fun. I learned a lot and would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to code.

Learning how to build a weather app with HTML, CSS and Vanilla JS has been a long road but I feel thrilled because now I do have a better understanding of how JS works and all the incredible things you can do with this programming language. Thank you to all the SheCodes team, they have created a platform where learning how to code is enjoyable and makes you want to learn more! Looking forward to the next workshops!

The lessons were simple and well structured. I began this course with no prior knowledge of coding, and in only a few weeks, I have learnt so much!

Matt made the lessons short and easy to digest for someone brand new to this world of coding. The workshops were fun and challenging and help was always available whenever you needed it. It's a great platform to learn at your own pace, while working full time. I look forward to the next set of workshops, SheCodes Responsive and SheCodes React!

I've learned elements of coding before, so this served as a refresher course in helping cement my skills. Compared to other places I learned from, I found this was far more palatable when learning step-by-step, the explanations were easier to digest, and even something that can get complicated quickly, like JavaScript, was easier to understand.

I have learned so much more than I expected. It is a great way to get started in coding and see if it's something you want to continue with.

This workshop has opened my eyes to the potential of a new career path and I could not be more excited. These last 3 weeks have taught me so much, but I know I have a long way to go. I've been in and out of learning Javascript for a while now, and it's always been too abstract to see the real use of what I was learning. With SheCodes, I've learned within a browser environment that makes it easy to understand the concepts and the use of it.

After finishing the Basics courses earlier I immediately signed up for the Plus course and really enjoyed building on everything I learned before and improving my coding skills.

I came across SheCodes while on Instagram, and later signed up on the 19/11 21 as I am now retired from nursing and have time for myself. Learning HTML,CSS and JavaScript was new and fun for me as Matt made the course very interactive with each lesson and a I felt sense of accomplishment when I completed each weeks assignment and recognize my achievements.

SheCodes offered me the confidence and opportunity to learn important new tools quickly and gave me new skills, while having fun! :)

I absolutely love how I can improve my coding skills thanks to SheCodes, it has been a wonderful journey with a lot of fun, but also many thinking to solve some puzzles and learning in a great way.

I hadn't been to school for about a year due to a deterioration of my mental health, I lost my motivation and I didn't know who I wanted be and what I wanted to do in life. I came across SheCodes in an Instagram advert and clicked on it out of curiosity. I attended the free 60 minute online coding session and immediately, I became interested in the world of coding. This interest inspired me to enrol on a Computing course at college and follow the pathway to become a Web Developer.

Literally the best workshops I ever attended!

When I started this course, I had never coded before! I now feel super confident with basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and have completed a project that I'm really proud of. Matt is an excellent teacher! He breaks each new piece of information down into bitesize lessons that make coding fun and easy to understand. He also demonstrates what not to do and common mistakes that are easy to make, which — as an absolute beginner — I have found really helpful. Great workshop overall! SEO portion was kind of small, only a few tips. still very useful but I thought there would've been more. Also, I would suggest doing this one before learning React. It would follow the previous one better and once you learn React you're doing things completely differently.

I liked how the concepts are broken down in small parts and are followed by a small exercise. I had no coding knowledge and it was easy to follow the course.

I wanted to learn how to code for a long time now but was first very doubtful about my capacities in learning coding by myself (based on online tutorials). I wanted to take the challenge and so i suscribed to Shecodes! This workshop and the way Matt explained coding made it super fun and interesting to learn. It also helped me to gain more confidence in my skills and learning abilities. What i really liked, was the community feeling behind shecodes that made the learning process, very interactive and motivating !

This workshop was interesting enough for me to find motivation and willingness to finish it before deadline, which is a huge advantage.

There are things that definitely set SheCodes apart from other coding classes. I was reluctant to commit to anything because most try to describe what coding is and what the experience will be like without ever understanding what it means to be an absolute beginner. In the introductory presentation Matt does more than tell, he demystifies coding by showing what it is in an approachable way. That carries through to the lessons too. That's what won me over. I consider this a great investment.

This was way more fun than I expected, and I really enjoyed playing around with the various HTML, CSS and JS elements to tweak the final webpage! Matt's guidance is really clear along the process, with encouragement given to try more things if one wishes.

I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone interested in learning coding! The idea of learning coding can be a little daunting, but I genuinely enjoyed learning coding on SheCodes from start to finish. Though it can be really challenging, the style of teaching and the videos makes it easy to follow and I wouldn't have traded learning anywhere else.

Very fun project!

I thought coding was really difficult but Matt makes it so fun and easy to understand! It was a great experience!

I thought coding was very intimidating to even try to learn, assuming it would require months/years to acquire the knowledge. I did not realize it's that EASY and fun! 🙌🏼 If you're a visual designer and what a challenge or just want to try something new, I highly recommend SheCodes. I fell in love with coding after completing the Basics course, so moving on to SheCodes Plus was really a no-brainer! Although the course itself if much more challenging, Matt's lessons are so clear and helpful. I've absolutely loved learning more advanced techniques, and starting to work towards my professional career by learning how to host my code to the public. Seeing everything you have learned come together in the final project is really exciting and I can't wait to keep learning!
