I started programming as a side task in my previous job to build some basic applications in Google App Script to automatize some processes. I discovered that I liked coding and that the job of developer would enable me to have a more flexible lifestyle than I used to have. After trying to learn coding on my own via free courses and YouTube videos, I realised it would be more efficient to have a better structure of learning with deadlines, challenges, projects but also flexibility, which is why I registered to SheCodes. Even though I had already some basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, this course was clearer than any of the other content I had already learnt from and helped me understand better what I was doing. I would like to stress that you DO NOT NEED to have any experience in coding to register for SheCodes. The courses are very structured and the fact that you apply what you learnt right away in some small challenges helps absorbing the information.
SheCodes responsive workshop is definitely worth of your time, money and effort. I've learned a lot and also realised how much I need to learn in the future. This course will take your coding skills to the next level.
SheCodes Responsive was a great next step after SheCodes Plus - I feel so much more confident with writing code, fixing issues in my code and being able to create a website that looks exactly like I want! Can't wait to get started on SheCodes React and build more projects to add to my portfolio!
SheCodes responsive not only teaches how to make responsive websites on phones or tablets. It also granted me a chance to polish and improve my coding skills. It is a great course as usual.
I still can't believe I got to this point! I feel so empowered! Up until a few months ago, I didn't even think I could learn how to code and now I am happily coding away! Matt is a great instructor, even though it's remote learning, the way the course it is structured it makes you feel supported at all time. These bite-sized bits of information make it really easy to understand the concepts and follow the instructions. More importantly it made me able to generate a website! Wow! ;) Of course you can learn all this with free tutorials from the web but you won't have the community, the feedback and the deadlines. I enjoyed the experience and might join again in the future for additional courses.
I remember being proud of my previous coding projects but I always had to make excuses for why it didn't look good on a phone screen. Now, I'm so glad that I've learned how to make those pages responsive so I can stop being embarrassed! This is an essential development skill.
This workshop was very challenging, but also very fun. I feel like I learned a lot and developed new skills. I had a fun time creating the weather and dictionary apps.

My experience and skills tend to be more on the qualitative, people side of things - think HR, accessibility, social programs. I wanted to solidify my basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and a quick intro to JS. I didn't know what to expect but got hooked after a couple lessons! Highly recommend.
SheCodes Basics is a great HTML, CSS, and JavaScript review/overview. It's clear, concise and playful. Perfect introduction for new coders too.
I took this class as a way to figure out if coding is a career path that I am willing/wanting to pursue more seriously. And I would personally highly recommend the SheCodesBasic course for anyone wondering if coding is something they are even somewhat interested in. You really do learn the Basics, and I believe that it will help you make decisions regarding your future armed with much more knowledge than you might have had before!
I still can't believe how I went through these eight weeks. SheCodes Plus was an absolute challenge, no doubt, but still, I would never have thought of making a weather forecast app from scratch. Matt's teaching method is unique and engaging that during the weeks, you never realize how much of a difficult challenge you have overcome.
I am loving this coding workshop! I cannot wait to continue on and see what I can create in the next few workshops!
A great refresher of web development basics.
I enjoyed the course and have gained a much better understanding of coding. I think the average estimated hours given for the 3 week course were quite inaccurate for me and it was much more time consuming than I was prepared for it to be. Whilst the videos are good, they are not always very clear and seemed to deliberately leave things out as a challenge. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I personally felt the slack channel wasn't a very fast or reliable method of support and so these regular gaps of information became frustrating at times. We are also encouraged to search Google for help, but the issue there is that many sites were discussing coding terms and techniques we hadn't learned so any methods suggested for certain issues didn't seem like viable options. Overall, I think it's a good course and I enjoyed it, but would advise anyone doing it with no prior coding knowledge to ensure they have time to dedicate to it.
SheCodes Plus was so much more challenging than Basics, and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every bit of it. Coming from a non computing background, I'm proud to say I'm addicted to coding and can't wait to continue my journey onto SheCodes Responsive and React.

I started working for a Tech company and I felt SO "out of the loop." I signed up for the Basics Course with little to no understanding of coding, HTML, or even what any of that was LOL. I enjoyed the experience. Each course has a perfect format, not too long and not overwhelming at all. The challenges are perfect for consolidating knowledge and the final project allows you to put into practice all the topics covered. Matt's pedagogy is spot on and very understandable!

I did it! Was able to get through React, not without using my deadline extensions ahah! React is definitely more complex, but somehow it becomes more rewarding as you start to understand how it works towards the end... This was such a wonderfull journey, that is now ending. It's bittersweet, you feel acomplished but you know you don't have more courses waiting for you with Matt. Please do more courses, i will surelly be a student once again! Thank you for everything!
I've been wanting to start coding for over 3 years now and I'm absolutely thrilled that I was able to do so, while working full time. This course is very interactive, easy to understand and easy to navigate. I enjoyed every second of it!!! It helped me big time in my role, as a product manager.

I'd already had some HTML and CSS knowledge and never felt ready to jump into learning more about them. But thank God I made up my mind and chose SheCodes! Matt is an awesome teacher, he takes time explaining - also it's a huge plus that I can go and learn at my own pace! I've had so much fun building the final project and really lost track of time researching for applicable codes and finetuning my project - I 100% recommend taking the course!

SheCodes has been a fun and exciting experience. Matt’s classes are easy to follow through, his voice is very relaxing and the tasks that he gives you are simple yet challenging. Coding HTML&CSS&JavaScript is my hobby. I've got some new tips on how to code appropriately in HTML & CSS & JavaScript. I installed the Prettier extension, and my code looks prettier. I join those who say that Matt is an excellent instructor. He has a gift to teach coding! :).
So far this has been awesome. Can't wait to get my teeth into the next one!
I really enjoyed designing and building this app. I loved being creative and the challenge of using live data and ensuring everything works together.
For a beginner like me the course was a nice start. All was well explained and good prepared with step by step lessons and exercises to practice. As a total beginner in programming it took me a lot more than 5 hours a week to complete the challenges and homeworks.
So pleased I stuck with this introductory course. I found the first-week challenging with a lot of new topics to grasp. Then it all fell into place! Now feel much more confident to make changes to my website & speak to my web designer.

I was able to learn a lot in the SheCodes React workshop. A few months ago I barely knew how to code. It was a challenging process but I'm proud to say that I completed the 3 coding workshops. I thoroughly enjoyed learning React and hope to utilize my new skill soon.
The React workshop was definitely challenging, but who doesn't love a good challenge? I know I do. I am extremely thankful to SheCodes for everything I've learned and this is only the beginning for me. I've had a wonderful experience throughout the three workshops I've taken and I highly recommend this program.
As a third-year college student, I have trouble finding my passions and interests. I decided to leap out of my comfort zone to try the things that I've always wanted to learn. One of them was coding! I was always fascinated when I watch my engineering friends create something from nothing. With SheCodes I found a new passion of mine, coding! My perspective on my future career has changed. And I am excited to see what more I can learn in future workshops!
The final project was where I gained a lot of my confidence in this. When I started to build, it was almost like it was becoming natural. I really enjoyed learning CSS and cant wait to take the next one!

I really enjoyed this course. I work in a software company and was always a bit intimidated by the coding part of the business. After taking this course, I feel much more knowledgeable on the basics and the realms of what is possible and what might not be.
Could definitely be covered in SheCodes Plus. A responsive Website is a must nowadays.
This was significantly more challenging compared to the basic workshop, but if you stick with it, you will definitely expand your knowledge and improve you skills.

Working as a full-time single mom, I've been working retail my whole life and I have lost my love for it and wanted to try something new and rewarding.
