I have wanted a future in tech and I didn't know where to begin, everything seemed too intimidating. After the free trial with Matt, I got a better sense of my fear and decided to give SheCodes a try. I'm really glad I did. I spent hours on troubleshooting and restructuring because it was fun, not because I had to. Dedicating the time is key and so worth it.
This course gave me so much confidence and the ability to do things I couldn't do before - given how affordable it is it's a bit unbelievable how much you are taught. Matt explains things in an easy to understand way and the whole things is organised so each piece of new information builds on the last piece, so you never feel like you are learning too much at once that you can't connect to what you already know. I honestly think everyone should do the basics course even if they think they can't - I think you'll surprise yourself.
I cannot even begin to describe how amazing it feels to have learned so much in just a three-week workshop. I started out more or less knowing only that HTML, CSS and JavaScript were things that exist in the world and now, I'm building full pages using all three. I am so happy I gave SheCodes a try, I had no idea just how much I would love coding and plan to continue my journey in hopes of opening new doors with an eventual career change, all thanks to the Matt and the SheCodes crew.

I absolutely loved this workshop! Having no previous experience in coding I found the SheCodes lessons to be very easy to understand and follow along. I really loved everything about it! It's so good to finally understand coding! The classes are very easy to understand, and the best part is that we have an exercise each class, which provides us more practice and experience. You can get an extension for those who are worried about time, so the course doesn't become a burden on your schedule. Can't wait to start Plus!

This course was amazing, I really felt like I got a good grasp and handle on advanced JavaScript, which is quite difficult. The video tutorials made everything easy to understand and follow and I'm very proud of the weather app I built from scratch.
As usual, I would very strongly recommend this course. I really enjoyed working on all of the homework and projects. I feel like I've gained some really useful skills along the way. I can't wait to start the next course with SheCodes.
A great introduction course for learning the basics and really suited my learning style. The lessons were very thorough and Matt provided great explanations and framing of coding concepts. The challenges covered concepts discussed in the lessons but sometimes required a little extra research; all great preparation to learn how to solve problems and utilize the countless resources online.

Taking the React add-on course was a good extension to the first React course. You build a dictionary app with React and you also fetch APIs so you can continue practicing the skills you learned in the previous React course.

I did the course in an unexpected and improvisational way. I had my concerns and my perception that coding was boring and too difficult for me - NO! Coding is fun and excited. I still have my concerns about the coding "career", but I am looking forward to the next steps and dive into more details in this world.
SheCodes is perfect if you don't want to spend hours on watching videos on how to code, Matt made short but informative videos that made it easier to understand and fun to learn!
If someone had told me a few years ago that I will be doing 4 frontend development online courses in a year with a World pandemic, I just wouldn't believe it. But the truth is: here am I, just finishing the last one. From having no coding experience a couple of months ago to now having completed this React workshop, I have more knowledge and experience in coding than I could have ever imagined having in this short amount of time. Starting SheCodes, I was in a bad place worrying about my future and the type of person I want to become. Great course for beginners and as a refresher for me since I had used HTML and CSS in the past, and great to learn Javascript as well. The lessons are short and the course is very hands-on with small challenges to complete along the way. Also Matt gave some good tips on how to set up VS Code and how to keep your code clean. Overall a good experience!
Coding is fun! This is what I learnt from the whole lessons. Sometimes it took me time to understand what the tutorial videos explained, but I actually enjoyed the 'trial and error' time at each challenge and homework :) Thank you for giving me the opportunity!

Years ago I tried to learn CSS and HTML by myself. Well, after a lot of sweat I did it. But when I approached Javascript I felt overwhelmed and without support. Some weeks ago my boss asked me to work on our company's website and I was like: "Oh, well..." And I bumped into SheCodes. I thought: "It's now or never." And I bought the whole package, thanks to my discount as university student (I am doing a second BA). The biggest part of this course is the community. I love to ask, to receive answers after some minutes and to be able to help others. Through this course I was able to develop also my company's website. And this is JUST the beginning :)
I really enjoyed this course and would recommended it to anyone looking for an introduction to coding. The lessons are very clearly explained and there are some great resources available for any additional help, including dedicated slack channels.
Completing SheCodes Plus has been an amazing, challenging, and beneficial addition to my present and future self. I am gaining skills in and for an industry that I never thought I would consider seriously delving into and I appreciate Matt and his other associates for creating such an educational platform that are very well informed, and well preparing for perspective tech and/or non-tech women like me. Got hooked on coding! Coming from a completely different background (Tibetan studies and teaching German) I enjoy the creativity in coding and seeing its outcome directly. It was fun and easy to follow!

The bootcamp is perfect! Everybody was helpfull, and it was easy to understand.
SheCodes Basics was a great introduction to front-end development for me. Although I'd rather have live classes, so it would feel more interactive, Matt's videos were clear and to the point, and I had no issues solving my doubts by searching the documentation. This is an awesome workshop for someone who wants to dive in to HTML, CSS and JavaScript if they don't have that much experience!
It was incredibly easy, fun and effective learning these languages and their tools with SheCodes! I feel really excited to learn more and more! Highly recommend it!

Building a weather app was super challenging and at the same time super rewarding. SheCodes does a great job at guiding you through the process of building your first application. Matt is a wonderful instructor and the best of it all, the app is actually live; with real data! Invest in yourself and take the time to learn how to code!
I'm proud to have taken the next step continuing from SheCodes basic to plus! It was truly a great experience to learn more about coding and diving deeper into knowing about API's and hosting a site. It was challenging but the experience was worth it and it was fun to see everything come together while building my weather application from start to finish!

Among all the other virtual self-study courses, SheCodes Basic course is one of the best courses I've participated within 5 years! Everything was coordinated super-smoothly, all the necessary information was provided before and during the study, I got help when I asked it, Matt's way of teaching suited me very well and I had just enough time to learn and submit my homework. As a French philologist, yet being an Estonian native speaker, I've always thought that coding is only for the people who understand higher math. Well, I've never would have guessed that coding is very similar to learning a foreign language. And moreover, it's fun! SheCodes has made it very easy for me to learn how to code without so much struggle. I specifically like the step to step guideline approach that Matt uses to teach. I like how we started off by writing codes on code pen then slowly moved to VsCode editor, all of which one could access just by a click of a button. So far, it has been an exciting Learning experience and I cannot wait to learn more!

SheCodes lesson proceeds step by step, and concisely teaches the students the pivotal things and elements on coding. As my background, I had been interested in coding for a while and felt "I need more some skill in IT field for my career", but thought at the same time taking the coding lesson or going coding school was highly expensive. However, fortunately I found SheCodes, course of which is really affordable! Although I need more reviewing what I learned through SheCodes Basic workshops and remembering them for sure, after doing that, I would like to take a higher-level workshop, SheCodes Plus!
It was a very good course about Html, CSS and JavaScript. I'm really happy and proud of my growth in this part. the concepts are deeply taught with lots of challenges and homework, that make you sure you learned it. finally as Matt always says, It was really fun and super easy ! ✌😊

The workshop has been a real fun and educational experience! I had completely forgotten that over a decade ago I used to enjoy editing my MySpace and LastFM profiles so much, and the free class I signed up for spontaneously reminded me about that. It was so great that I enrolled on the Basics Workshop with no hesitation. Coding seems fun and I am convinced that learning the fundamentals with SheCodes is just the beginning of my journey in that area!

I was so nervous at the time that I registered for this course since I didn't think that I could complete these 3 weeks. However, everything change after I finished my first week and felt excited about the next one. The instructor creates a course that is so interactive and so easy to understand. Finally, I can code and build my own site myself and that is so cool! Hopefully, other people also will have the same feeling as me and "Happy coding!"
SheCodes provides a great way to learn the basics of coding. Although the course is quite challenging, in the end, you can learn how coding affects the layout of websites on a daily basis. I highly recommend SheCodes for everyone who wants have a grasp of modern technology!

Wow! I found out I am autistic and ADHD this year after 25 years of feeling very lost and broken-- for so long I thought coding and schooling was something completely inaccessible to me! I tried this in a faithful leap towards re-imagining a future where I communicate deeper and can offer creative skills; ultimately to be an autonomous adult. This workshop is SO thought through, navigable, and encouraging! I confidently understand the content, I genuinely enjoy solving the puzzles of coding, and I am thrilled with curiosity for all the possibilities and lessons to come! Now, on to SheCodes Plus!
